Currencies in the free states

The free states, composed of the cities of: Criwell, Dimont, Eveim, Vriamburg, Drepol, Than Boldir and Kur Thorim, have agreed on a decree to use a common currency on the date of 1-1-202. This decree contain a set of rules for minting coin and the value of the different coin.

The value of a coin is determined by the main type of metal composing it. Three different coins are recognized in the free states and are as follow:

    • Copper coin, also known as penny, is the lowest value coin.
    • Silver coin, also known as coin, is the most used coin. A coin amount for ten pennies.
    • Gold coin, also known as crown, is the highest value coin. A crown amount for ten coins.

Those three coins are the only currency accepted everywhere in the free states and outside in the known land. Anyone can use them to bought or sell goods. Any other currency can be refused since it's not the offcials coins. Someone who want to use those other currency first need to exchange them in any banks for their appropriate amount of coins.

From now on, any mint inside the known land need to follow those rules:

    • Each coin need to be made of 90% of the metal definning its value (gold, silver or copper).
    • Each coin have a different weight depeding on the metal composing it:
      • A penny weight 9.6g
      • A coin weight 8g
      • A crown weight 4g
    • Each coin is composed of an outer ring and an inner circle.
    • The outer ring go from the edge to a fifth of the radius of the coins.
    • The outer ring is left blank.
    • An emblem need to be striked inside the inner circle to identify the origin of the coin.
    • Each coin have a different amount of reeds on the edge of the coin as follow:
      • A penny as 8 reeds
      • A coin as 4 reeds
      • A crown as 2 reeds
