Necropolis of Umbar
The Necropolis of Outer Umbar, alongside the Catacombs of Central Umbar, comprise the funerary complex of the City of Umbar, with the Necropolis being the larger of the two.
Like the Catacombs, the Necropolis is ruled by Lord Osiris Khúsoë, the Patriarch of House Khúsoë. Unlike the Catacombs, the Yalév of House Khúsoë--currently Eurydice Khúsoë--is responsible for managing the majority of the Necropolis' day-to-day operations.
Purpose / Function
The Necropolis serves as a cemetary for the lower and middle class citizens of Umbar who cannot afford a plot within the Catacombs. As such, the maintenance of the Necropolis is lacking compared to that of the Catacombs, which are directly overseen by Lord Osiris.
