Kaleera

Kaleera is a world of the fantastic. It is a world of swords and castle walls, with a pinch of sorcery and the otherworldly here and there. While magic does exist, it is very rare, dangerous, and beyond the normal comprehension of the human mind, with many dying of old age to muster the will to even create a meer gust wind. Most magic, therefore, is restricted to minor things (healing wounds, creating campfire sized flames, etc.), and even those are rare.   Kaleera is a place that is familiar and yet not. One may go a full year without seeing anything not found on an Earth ecosystem, only to be dropped into a cavern where evolution has taken a completely alien course and made life that seems almost from another world. Most of the creatures may seem unfamiliar, but perfectly reasonable for a life form found on Earth. Most of its animals are mundane and can do very little.   However, there are outliers to this rule, such as the man-like creatures the size of houses (giants, ogres, trolls, etc.), underground monstrosities that seem straight out of Lovecraft at times, and monsters in isolated regions that seem directly from myth. One such a factor for such evolutionary outliers is the event that marks the end one age and the beginning of the next. This is the Crumbling: during this time, the tectonic movement of the plates rappidly accelerates, to the point were entire continents could collide within a matter of months.   See more info here
