Ships

Each town has a shipyard to hold any kind of incoming or outgoing traveler. And each shipyard contains ships, vehicles for long-form (and even short-form) transportation of people and goods. Ships can be personal, requiring few to even one person to sail. Or they can be larger, requiring a crew.

Sky Ships

Sky ships are by far the most common and most popular form of ship. From slower vessels that plod along, taking days to cross the Rot Saegri to faster vessels that make the trip in a few hours.

Older cheaper sky ships use balloons while newer ones use lift spheres that disperse a floating force into the ship's structure. Likewise, older sky ships often have their decks open to the open air while newer ones are more like hollow tubes shooting across the sky.

Land Ships

While not the most common, land ships are often cheaper solutions to sky ships. These sail across land on powered wheels, hovering, or even skating across the surface of the ground. Ships that do use wheels typically use one large wheel that uses both the sails for wind power and internal electronics to move the ship. The material of the wheel allows for seamless turning, like pushing something light across ice.

Sand ships

Sand ships create as little contact with the sand as possible (two parabolas joining at a point). They glide along the sand, older models using sales while newer lean in tandem with a rudder. Newer models keep the platforms level with the Earth while the bow leans so the crew does not have to account for a shift in their floor.

Sea Ships

Like land ships, sea ships are also not as useful (generally) as sky ships, but are cheaper to produce and upkeep. Like sand ships, they skim across the surface, using buoyancy and propellers or sails to aid in locomotion.

Subaquatic

Unless a specialized kind of land or sky ship, sea ships often have the distinct advantage of sporting underwater options. Diving beneath the waves is incredibly convenient when convening with subaquatic peoples, such as cultures made of Ayabba’aru.

Thank you. I'm actually a little disappointed with this article. Ships are super important and I don't think I was detailed enough or gave them enough attention. This will definitely be an article I will need to come back to.

Kriltch, arcanities not included.
