Ovald

Meaning the other world, Ovald is what exists beyond the Ulinta. No one living knows about Ovald, not how big it is, not what can be found there, not if there's some kind of "life". Nothing is really known about Ovald, only speculations based on fruitless and corrupt expeditions across the abyss.

Corrupt, that is the only word feasible for the perceived land. Like the abyss, the closer one comes to Ovald, the more unreal they become. It's chaotic to explain, physicality and the soul seem to not break down but change in ways that should not be conducive to life or anything. Trees along the abyss stay not of the species they are born, people who dare travel there or man outposts lose their sanity. What lies beyond must be far worse.

Some have claimed they have visited the land. It's hard to tell the truth between breaths of insanity and ravings. Little is done to find the truth of the matter, other directions seem far more promising. What lies beyond the SaykZuyg, what lies at the core of the lands, what lies beyond the seas, all better and safer options, mostly.

Ovald, as such a corrupting force, does not exist anywhere but beyond the abyss. Sail north, south, or east for any amount of time and the ocean will not seem to end. Life will become sparse then non-existent. You may find yourself looking to the sky and observing that, at some point, you had returned to where you had come from but nothing is around but open, bottomless, lifeless ocean. This probably is not Ovald, but you are still able to sail back home, uncorrupted.
