Sand Trollkar
The Sand Trollkar are a Sub-group of Trollkar who have adapted to live in the deserts and Dunes of Kalarda. They are known to possess a natural resistance to extreme heat and dehydration as well as their course cracked skin has a natural resistance to fire. They are also adept at hiding in their desert surroundings, and it is not uncommon to see adventurers and travelers ambushed by sand trollkar hunting parties after almost stepping on the hiding trollkar.

Facial characteristics
like all trollkar they have long ears, and tusks protruding from the lower jaw which can vary from only a few inches in length to a foot long. male tusks tend to be significantly larger than female tusks. Unlike most other trollkar, whose tusks are of an ivory (lighter, sometimes darker) color, the tusks of sand trolls vary between dark gray to black.

History
The Sand Trollkar before the great sundering did not exist as a subgroup; but when the titans in their death knells, split the great continent of Shoula asunder it caused untold havoc to the landmasses left behind. One of those landmasses would become the continent of Nekash an almost wholly desert continent and it would be the Jungle trollkar who lived there in the times before the sundering that would evolve and adapt into the Sand Trollkar known today.
The Great City of Shal'a'mon was once a great metropolis of the Sand Trollkar Sand Trollkar kingdom of Fal-Farrak which held dominion over most of the Continent.
