King of the Southern Emyr Expanse

The King of the Southern Emyr Expanse, Behmen Diyar has been ruler since 189 PD. He inherited the throne from a young age when his older brother was killed in an ambush of Emyri Loyalists. An expert on Kal'Araani history and foreign relations, Behmen has made a career of trying to stifle the rise of Emyri Loyalism and push the Imperial Commonwealth of Emyr to address problems that are faced in Southern Emyr.

Personal history

Part of the royal family of Cormyr, Behmen and his brother Bromhar (12 years his senior) were the only surviving heirs to the name after their uncle's family (the ruling branch at the time), and their own parents were killed in a bombing by Emyri Loyalists in Cormyr in 180 PD. For several years, Bromhar became the head of the family as King of the Southern Emyr Expanse. He dedicated military resources to ousting and defeating Emyri Loyalists all across Southern Emyr.
In 189 PD Bromhar was also assassinated by Emyri Loyalists, and Behmen became King at the mere age of 11. Since then Behmen has made it a personal goal not to just defeat Emyri Loyalists tactically with troops, but rhetorically with messaging.
In the election for Chancellor in 193 PD, Behmen voted for Hileya Jax.

Degree from the Trade College of Cormyr in Kal'Araani History with an emphasis on Emyrian Struggles.
