Cormyr
Few places churn my stomach more than the underbelly of Cormyr. I've been in Valencian Ruk-houses and Laboriums in Roguecall, but none of it compares to Cormyr. Not the scale of deceit, manipulation, and violent control. Valaxxi would turn in his grave if he were to know what loyalists have done to his home. -Arla Hildegaard
Demographics
Largely Human, Cormyr is a relatively hostile environment for non-humans. This is due to the strong presence of Emyri Loyalists in the former capital.
Government
Technically run by the Imperial Commonwealth of Emyr, the local government of Cormyr is almost completely in the pockets of Emyri Loyalists, criminals, and corrupt politicians.
Defences
Cormyr's aging stone walls still stand firm, made of ancient sturdy dark marbled rock. The relatively open fields surrounding the city itself make it a difficult target for raids, and the number of veteran combatants that live in Cormyr help with it's security from external threats, but bolster those inside the city walls.
Industry & Trade
Cormyr's largest asset is it's warm-weather port allowing trade between Cormyr and much of the eastern coast of Kal'Araan.
Infrastructure
Cormyr's once advanced infrastructure has, since the fall of the Emyrian Empire of Man, been largely not maintained. Old cobblestone streets and weathered walls show Cormyr's sturdy history, while it's age is shown through lichens, weeds, and naturally formed drainways in the streets.
Assets
Cormyr has a large deposit of wealth still remaining from the coffers of the Emyrian Empire of Man, which were seized by the inhabitants during the rebellion.
Guilds and Factions
Cormyr has the largest population of Emyri Loyalists, as well as many underhanded and less-known illicit organizations.
History
Cormyr is commonly known as the original capital city of the Emyrian Empire of Man. Since it's fall, Cormyr was shortly part of the rebellion movement. However, today it is a haven for the Emyri Loyalists. It still remains one of the oldest standing cities in Kal'Araan.
Architecture
Almost all of Cormyr is well-preserved Old Emyri architecture, due to the thick, dark marble the city uses as building material. Newer structures are of typical wood construction, but due to the lack of destruction of the older buildings, these are few and far between.
