To live in Kal'Araan before The Descent was to live in chaos. Imagine a landscape scarred and altered by the Gods who fought over them. We mortals were nothing but ants, crawling across a battlefield, in hopes of not being crushed. Something that could one day seemingly last forever was wiped from history the next. Nothing was permanent, except chaos. Every year there were new frontiers, new sights to behold, new rivers to ford. An explorer's paradise. How I yearn to have lived in that world. -Ezreal KaldeziakKal'Araan is a world recently torn from the Sea of Worlds and dropped into the Material Plane. While humanoids have lived on it for thousands of years, this transition (called The Descent) started a new era for the citizens aboard Kal'Araan. Not just the mortals were affected by this change. The Draconic Gods that formed the world and that once ruled over Kal'Araan now found themselves stripped of power, the lands being conquered as domain by the existing deities of outside realms. Now, as the new Gods claim their domain, one deity in particular seeks to consolidate power over the others... This world incorporates a few names + locations from Forgotten Realms, but these assets have been completely transformed to fit Kal'Araan in a unique way.
