Chancellor

The Chancellor of the Imperial Commonwealth of Emyr is the highest ranking title of the Commonwealth, overseeing all facets of state management.

Requirements

To be elected Chancellor all of the following must be true of the candidate:

• Is at least 35 years of age
• Has lived in the Imperial Commonwealth of Emyr for at least 10 years
• Is not guilty of any crime higher than a civil infraction
• Has completed a Loyalist probe from an ordained priest

Appointment

A Chancellor is elected through majority vote in the Council of Kings.

Duties

The duties of Chancellor range across every facet of empire management. Diplomacy, military upkeep, economic expansion, cultural relations, and many more duties are all under the rank of Chancellor.

Responsibilities

Typically the Chancellor creates bureaucratic offices to assist with the mundane tasks of management, providing oversight of their long-term operation.

Benefits

The Chancellor lives in The Grey, and has nearly limitless access to any means of livelyhood. The actual salary of the Chancellor is 15,000 Commonwealth Crowns per year, but realistic estimates counting benefits and macro-income put the salary somewhere around 90,000 to 112,000.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The Crown of Emyr is bestowed to new Chancellors to wear throughout their rule as they see fit. It is reclaimed and bestowed by the Church of Bahamut.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Upon grave conditions or the event of falsehood, the Council of Kings can remove the Chancellor by force through appeal to the Church of Bahamut. They must have a 3/4 majority, and the Church must approve the removal. This has never happened so far in the history of the Commonwealth
