Melas

This priest serves at the temple of a goddess holding a snake in each arm (later identified as 'Astarte') in Nostauron. He was initially discovered by Theresa, to whom he identified the temple. The group later returned. Ischyrós noted that the priest wore a purple cloak. The priest also told the group that Astarte could help them. He gave most of the companions ritual ablutions, which he said would protect them in the labyrinth. Lenora initially refused, fearing that the ritual would make it impossible to reenter her home - Hades. But later, after speaking to Althea, she decided that it would not, and after returning to Nostauron, requested Melas to give her a ritual bath.
