Kyotouryu

Mystical Armaments

The Kyotouryu are the mysterious and extremely powerful weapons, armor, and other artifacts wielded by Saiha and his Ayakashi during the First Great Yokai War. They are exceedingly rare, and only the strongest of warriors are able to wield them. Some have the appearance of equipment or weapons, while others seem to take the form of humanoid creatures. The Kyotouryu were forged from rare jade materials and from the remains and body parts of powerful Yokai, imbuing the weapons with powerful special abilities.

Living Weapons

Although most of the Kyotouryu have the appearance of a weapon or other equipment, they are in a sense, living creatures. The Kyotouryu record and store the memories of their previous wielders, and can even reject those who they deem unworthy of wielding them. Some of the Kyotouryu are more temperamental than others, reacting angrily or even sulking when their wielders attempt to claim, or even interact with another Kyotouryu.

Lost Legends

After the Yonkishi were sealed and The First Great Yokai War came to an end, most of the Kyotouryu were scattered across the land and lost to time. Some were found and claimed by other adventurers and Yokai, while others were lost forever to the changing landscape.
The following is a list of known Kyotouryu and their current locations.

• Kyotouryu: Sōtō Kanazuchi. Currently in the possession of Mifune .

• Kyotouryu: Yasakani no Magatama. Currently merged with Ame-no-Murakumo, and Yasakani-no-Magatama to form Ame-no-Nuhoko

• Kyotouryu: Sentō Tsurugi. Currently kept in storage at Abe no Seimei i.

• Kyotouryu: Rakka Rouzeki. Currently in the possession of Yume.

• Kyotouryu: Bitō Kanzashi. Currently accompanying Conradus Stonero .

• Kyotouryu: Akutō Bita. Currently kept in storage at Abe no Seimei .

• Kyotouryu: Zokutō Yoroi. Currently in the possession of Miyamoto Suzuha .

• Kyotouryu: Hakutō Hari. Currently in the possession of Yukimura Sanada .

• Kyotouryu: Yata no Kagami. Currently merged with Yasakani no Magatama, Ame-no-Murakumo to form Ame-no-Nuhoko.

• Kyotouryu: Kiku-ichimonji. Currently in the possession of Liu-Xiao
• Kyotouryu: Hikaru Kyuyou. Currently kept in storage at Abe no Seimei .

• Kyotouryu: Kijin Shōrai. Currently lost in the Jukai .

• Kyotouryu: Hyakka-Midarezakura. Currently lost in the Sabaku.

• Kyotouryu: Seitō Hakari. Currently in the possession of Sanada Yukimura.
• Kyotouryu: Guren Kaina. Currently in the possession of Shuten Doji.
• Kyotouryu: Entō Jū. Currently in the possession Liu-Xiao.
