Definition of the Trace

Purpose

Documentation of Alan's ideas about the Trace and the ability to recognize it.   Long story short: the Trace is the collection of memories the world has about a person. It's the history of what they have done in every place they had visited. And the ability to see it and to know what trace belong to whom, is very rare.

Background

Alan has a notebook (okay, he has lots of them, but only one is in use) where he writes down every random bit of inspiration he gets almost immediately.   When he was designated to make the list of abilities for the novel, he wasn't very creative with the original list on a plain text file in his computer. It was just a bunch of self explained gifts that the villain would want for to steal. He would make rules for those later, when the general context became somehow clear.   But he also wrote a few more developed ideas and vague ability names in his notebook for unexpected inspiration.
