Brolympus

Tucked away at the back of the Aphneion is a suite built out of former guest quarters. Where most denizens of the Aphneion desire the pristine views of Lake Skadar, for Icarus & Lou Areides, a waterfront experience would be the least relaxing place to live.

Sparsely furnished (the lads had nothing when they were struck with Resurrection), Brolympus is beyond all, a bachelor pad out back behind the grandparents who raised them the rest of the way after centuries in the Underworld. Open spaces, pristine views, and comfortable furniture of bright colour mix with wall hangings, art and content surrounding video games, action movies and fast cars.

The place is lacking in nothing but taste. I say this with confidence, as Lou lives here. As does his video game obsessed brother Icarus Areides, who gets out all his fun before diving back into work with Athene.

Purpose / Function

A suite within the larger Aresidian Compound for Icarus & Lou, to give the bros a sense of independence while maintaining proximity to their family.

Alterations

While the Aphneion within the Chalceus Citadel has been fortified for centuries with newer technology, the early marble pillars and lintels of Classical Hellene and later Romanesque design remain. In the majority of the family suites, vast panes of shock proof glass connect from pillar to pillar to contain the addition of central air. These panels can be moved to the side to catch the breeze, or walk out onto the veranda with the press of a button or vocal command to Icarus Areides 's Daedalus.AI. 

The interior of the Aphneion and especially the Brolympus Suite is a wealth of new technologies to make the home smarter and more efficient. Gigantic television screen in the entertainment centre, a bespoke kitchen,

Architecture

Luxury is defined by light and space, the suites inside the Aphneion are no cloistered minimalist things. Vast open floor plans, white and grey marble, columns, a view of the vineyard & olive groves from the main rooms. Two bedrooms (with attached baths), two studies were created for the bros, with a large common area and kitchen,

Defenses

The Aphneion is located in the middle of the Chalceus Citadel, the seat of Ares Mars Olympia's power in Midgard. The Citadel is the most well defended place on the planet. Between the Areosides themselves, the Spartan-trained Mora who live and train within the Citadel, and the copious technological defences of Hephaestus Vulcan Olympia & Athene Olympia, I rue the day any idiot tries to sneak so much of a peek at Aphrodite Venus Ourania's luxurious pools, or Lou's bedroom.

Never, not ever, attempt to enter or view Lou Areides 's bedroom.
