Ahkar (a.k.a. The Dark One)

Born in the wild-lands of The Celtic Tribes Ahkar was fascinated with all things magical, and showed real talent at a young age. Quickly Ahkar was besting even the most adept spell-caster in his village and so was sent off to study with Windsong at his school of magic in Kromwell .
While under Windsong's teaching Ahkar began to excel and was soon the Star pupil at the school. Unknown to Windsong and others at the school Ahkar began seeking knowledge of the dark arts such as demon worship and necromancy. Once his secret was discovered by Windsong Ahkar was disband from the school and an order of banishment was placed so that no respectable mage would ever take Ahkar as a student.
Hungry for revenge Ahkar began to delve deeper into the dark arts to find a way to destroy Windsong . During hese studies into the dark arts Ahkar began communicating with a Demon Lord named Sosomossette who promised a way for Ahkar to exact his revenge, and eventually Ahkar was able to summon Sosomossette from the abyss. With the help of the demon lord Ahkar was able to unleash en evil plan to become the most powerfull mage ever known while, become ruler of the world, and simultainously destroy Windsong in the process. This plan was to be known as The Great War .
This plan began with the unleashing of The Knights of Illuria with orders to find all items of a magical nature, bring them to Ahkar, and to kill all who oppose them. The second phase of the plan was to summon forth the Mana Eater , a creature from the plane of negative mana. it is widely believed that Sosomossette was behind this part of the plan. This creature then began devastating all that it could see destroying all things magical thus eliminating all that may oppose Ahkar. (One of the targets for the Mana eater was Gateway Portals. And then the final phase of the plan was let loose.. Ahkar had been massing an army in secret in the Ruins of the Illuran Vale, An army of Orc, Goblin , Hobgoblin , Ogre, and every other foul beast that roamed the lands... In front of this massive army was set a pair of Cauldron Of Death , an artifact thought lost during The Time Before . With these Cauldrons Ahkar was able to place the slain from the battlefield and they would rise again as undead minions in the army of Ahkar regardless of what side they were on before falling in battle... This gave Ahkar an army with unlimited numbers.
The Great War ragged on for over 25 years but Ahkar, Sosomossette , and Mana Eater were all defeated by a group led by Subek Krom king of Kromwell , and Ahkar's body was hung from the walls of Kromwell castle for all to see.
