Kestramore
Run primarily by members of House Darlia, Kestramore is a very old city that has seen a number of wars and many more changes in ruler. It has recently come under the jurisdiction of a less-than-capable Lord Protector, who puts more emphasis on martial power than anything. Various guilds vie for power underneath their weak leader, and a group of rebels who call themselves the Welcomers has grown in direct opposition of the new laws.
The city itself is old and well-fortified, made of pale stone that almost gleams in the sunlight. The bulk of it is nestled against the edge of a mountain, with a clear view of the Bridgemeadow fields stretching in front of it. Strangely, the heart of the city is its large and beautifully-kept graveyard, with miles of catacombs underneath housing the dead of over a dozen generations.
