Evanlyn famously possesses a small scar on her left brow that she sustained during the Battle of Ackra in an ambush. It is said that the forces of the Empire were so enraged at the rebels that wounded her, that the Legion called the Golden Orioles put 1000 rebel prisoners to the sword.

Evanlyn wears fine regal attire that she is said to have helped make herself. Wherever she goes, whatever she wears, red, white, gold, black and silver are prominent in her attire. The symbol of a flame atop a column is always visible as well, be on a necklace, bracer, sash, or anywhere else, she is seldom seen without the divine symbol.

Personal history
Evanlyn Vita was born to merchant class Ackramorian parents, Edwyn and Margery Vita, during the height of instability and violence in the Collapse period of Ackramorian history. Her family quickly fell into poverty as much of the business in the capital city dried up and people began to flee in droves. Evanlyn's father is believed to have died of stress, but had a vision in his dying moments. It told of a great warrior who would ride forth from the gates of Ackramor in the empire's most dire moments beside Prime, God of Civilization, to defeat the enemies of the empire. Evanlyn's father died in the year 3 BBA and only a few short years later, Evanlyn would change the course of history. Upon the death of her father, Evanlyn and Margery were supported by an old friend of Edwyn's from when he served in the Imperial legions, Generalus Gaius Maedia, a proud Dwarven leader within the dwindling forces of the Imperial army.
At the turn of the era, a battle on a scale that had never before been recorded took place at the capital city of Ackramor, Ackra, the greatest city in this or any age. The Battle of Ackra was the final stand for the old guard of the Ackramorian Empire, as the very bureaucrats that caused the rot within the empire and brought about its collapse fled with much of the populace. The traitorous armies were poised to break through the walls of the city and sack it. The traitors were numerous and came bearing weapons of mass death the likes of which hadn't been seen on Jeharr for thousands of years previous. When all seemed lost, as the rebelling armies settled into the siege and prepared to utilize their full destructive capabilities against the city, the course of history was altered.
Inspired by the young girl's zeal at the recognition of her fathers vision made real, Generalus Gaius took a risk on Evanlyn, although defeat was likely the only alternative. Her instinct as to the meaning of her father's vision was confirmed by Virtuous Elder Berius, who deemed her cause righteous and the will of Prime. Evanlyn, having never before lifted a weapon and at the young age of 16, took up arms with the defenders of the city, including the remains of the late Emperor's personal guard, the Inquisition, an order of griffon riding knights. The griffons for which the Inquisition was known had not been seen for over 200 years previous, their sudden return only gave further zeal to the defenders and credit to their cause. The remaining defenders sallied forth from the city gates and put their unsuspecting enemies to the sword in a move that has since been called "The Miracle at the North Gate." Unfortunately the battle was not without great loss, and Evanlyn's mother, who had taken up a role as a civilian nurse was killed during the battle.
After breaking the siege and routing the unprepared armies of the rebellion, Evanlyn Vita was hailed as "The Savior of the Empire" and continues to be referred to in this way, or simply as "The Savior" to this day. Due to the Empire's victory in the Battle of Ackra, as well as a number of miracles that occurred during the battle, it was determined by the remaining Imperial government that Evanlyn Vita, despite her youth and lack of experience, would become the next emperor of Ackramor.
Evanlyn's rule can be characterized as a period of restructuring, rebuilding and reconquest. Her first order was the restructuring and streamlining of the Ackramorian government with the Empress being firmly at the top and holding near absolute power. Although Evanlyn allowed the House of Councilors to persist, the majority of its powers were stripped and every previous member of the House of Councilors who had fled the city or who had committed an act of corruption were banned from ever again holding office and prosecuted harshly. This left the House of Councilors almost entirely empty. Empress Evanlyn Vita also instated a "House of Viceroys" as the counterpart to the House of Councilors. While the house of Councilors is beholden to the elite within the Archclergy, the Legatus and to the Lords of State, the House of Viceroys is made up of officials elected from the provincial parliaments, beholden entirely to the Imperial Citizens of their provinces. The last act in restructuring the Ackramorian government that Empress Evanlyn Vita took following her victory at the Battle of Ackra, was the creation of the Imperial Assembly, made up of four positions that were responsible for advising the Empress and are the only part of the Imperial government with any ability to check the power of the Empress.
Initially the Imperial army enjoyed a series of victories following the Battle of Ackra. Under the Empress's direction, much of the land lost to the armies of the rebellion during the late collapse period was reconquered, including critical fertile provinces to the south east, in the modern Sydgren Territory. The fighting has come to be known as "War of Reclamation" and the vast majority of fighting had ceased in the year 4 ABA. Skirmishes and minor conflicts continued to take place in the Sydgren Territory with the Kingdom of Stonecrest for a decade following the end of the war and the Empress regularly shares concerns with her advisers over further aggression from the Stonecrest and potential future war.
Evanlyn is known to have educated herself thoroughly on Emperor Tiniad and his infrastructural advancements as a way of helping her rebuild the very buildings and roads that Tiniad himself laid the groundwork for. Trade and commerce has returned to the empire under Empress Vita's watch and Ackra, the capital of the empire, is once again known as "The Great Gateway" as its ports connect inland Tukarsh to Akim'Dovear and much of the rest of Jeharr.
During the Second Coming of the End Times, Empress Evanlyn Vita was known to have had dealings with The Final Hour who assisted in revealing the corruption of Virtuous Elder Berius. The timely intervention of The Final Hour is believed to have severely limited the damage Berius would have otherwise caused in his betrayal. As the world rapidly approached its end, Ackra was attacked by an enormous creature, nearly the size of the city itself, the Apollyon. The Empress refused to leave the city when she issued the order for the legions to mount a defense and non-combatants to immediately flee inland. She readied herself to face death in another last ditch attack with the Inquisition against yet another seemingly insurmountable threat to the Imperial Capital. She was last seen flying, upon griffon's wings, wielding Prime's holy weapon, the Auspic Lance, the knights of the Inquisition at her side, directly toward the great central eye of the Apollyon. In her own words "my own saviors emerged as if from below the city and struck first at the very pupil which was set to destroy me." The Final Hour once again arrived in their namesake to save the Empress and drive off the monster.
The city had suffered severe damage following the Apollyon's attack, but has been quick to rebuild. Although it bore the scars of an attack by one of the greatest threats to ever face the city Ackra, and the empire at large, have been quick to rebuild under the supervision of the Empress. The Empress attended the Platinum Summit and dedicated a significant portion of the Empire's intellectual resources and military power to Horizonguard, in an attempt to stop the Second Coming. Despite this, the force provided by the Kingdom of Stonecrest was vastly superior in number and its resulting disproportionate control over Horizonguard forces in southern Tukarsh has been a point of disappointment for Empress Evanlyn Vita who sought to have the Ackramorian Empire be the leading force in defense of the civilized world.
The most recent rumors surrounding the Empress are that as she ages she seeks a way of prolonging her life, and it is believed that the Empress' Spymaster has found such a solution, although some believe it may involve some dark forces. The Empress categorically denies the existence of any such life extending dark magic.

Evanlyn Vita had received a limited education in her younger years. Following her crowning as Empress of the Ackramorian Empire, Evanlyn pursued a thorough education in imperial history and military history, with a focus on the great Ackramorian Emperors of history such as Primus, Gelavant and Tiniad. She is also known to have studied the gods Prime, Rein and Axius extensively.

As seen during the Second Coming of the End Times, Evanlyn is willing to respect and compromise with former members of the empire, despite the empire's historical claim to rightful dominion over the entirety of the civilized lands. In the face of the possible end of the world, Evanlyn aired on the side of mortal kind rather than just Ackramor for the sake of the future.
Early accounts indicate that Evanlyn is a kind but righteous soul. Grand Praetor Generalus Gaius Maidia is famously quoted as saying of Evanlyn, "she reaches down with one hand to raise up the Ackramorian people, and reaches out with the other to strangle political and military foes."

Gaius was Evanlyn's guardian following her father's death and her earliest supporter during the Siege of Ackra. They have since relied heavily upon one another for handling matters of state and warfare and continue to to this very day.
