Lore Summary

The Ancient Forest is a vast forest which supports a complex ecosystem of dinosaur-like monsters, wyverns, and large beasts. The forest consists primarily of tall evergreen trees which stretch high towards the sky creating a large canopy that looms over the rest of the forest floor. Adventurers of Jaytown made first contact with the Monster Hunter Guild of Echo Point {1,3} in this area during their expedition, and is rife with monster activity on a daily basis.

Adventurers are typically requested to help with researching the complex ecosystem, scouting the vast terrain, aiding with monster population control (tracking, slaying, trapping, relocating, aiding, etc.), gathering unique resources, and protecting Arborea locals/travellers from its numerous threats. Despite emerging dangers such as a rampaging Azure Rathalos that threatened to burn the forest asunder, the Ancient Forest and Arborea continues to grow and flourish thanks to Adventurers efforts. Mages keen on their own research have even taken residency, banquets such as the Greengrass Gala have been hosted with great success, and the Gemhold mine has become fully operable.

• Fire and Ice Baraka has an old enemy who has returned. Members of The Bounty have witnessed her power and her ambition to freeze the world.
