The Caretakers’ Tower
Purpose / Function
The Caretakers’ Tower houses the accumulated knowledge of the NAMENAMENAME. It serves both as a vast repository of the arcane and historical; and as a college of magic.
Alterations
The tower has had many alterations throughout it’s life; some wings and extensions added by artifice and engineering skill, others held in place by magic and force of will.
Architecture
Where The Caretakers’ Tower once stood a sharp edged shard of obsidian against the sea air. It is now a riot of turrets, banners and penents, walls, wings and windows, with glowing crystals studding it’s surface; the various rambling extensions built out from the obsidian of sandstone, granite, thin planks of driftwood, thick beams of ancient lumber. High up at the top, a pair of obsidian spars curve out of the western face, curving in towards each other like the pincers of a stag beetle.
