Jane Taggert
Janette Renee Taggert (a.k.a. Exposition)
A prodigy of magic, history, and mathematics, Janette Renee Taggert is a half-elf wizard from the floating city of Glass. She is a student of Enchantments and is the pupil of Natalie Davneiros, Wife of James and Mother of Penelope Davneiros (the 86th and 87th Wardens of Teratha, respectfully). She eventually becomes good friends with The Aegis Dawn and maintains a steady and positive relationship with Jonathan Davneiros. Throughout the campaigns she serves as the intellectual voice of reason and an anchor point for Jonathan when his family's curse begins to affect his mind. Never once in the story does she contribute to the negative feelings around her and remains hopeful for all matters, except in her own abilities. She suffers from anxiety and is afraid of failing those around her. She received the Glass-equivalent of "Minor Nobility" when her own mother was appointed as the Diplomatic Ambassador of Glass, following The Merchant Republic's recognition of sovereignty. She, like Jonathan, would soon be resentful of the title and downplay such applause.

Body Features
Jane lighter than average build. She does not seem to have much muscle mass or body fat and is considered by most to be quite small. That said she does feature slightly above average size bust and other features. Other characters with having the build of a human and the softness of an elf. Her skin tone is a lighter shade of brown, a combination of her mother's pale elvish skin and her father's dark human complexion.
Facial Features
Most of Jane's Elvish features are highlighted in her face. Like most elvish woman, she has a very soft facial structure and a very smooth complexion. She has green round eyes, a human trait, and a small round nose that compliments the rest of her face. As her father suffered from the need for glasses, Jane also wears glasses as a hereditary trait.

Jane is easily spotted in a crowd via her glasses and swooping hairstyle. Her classmates mention that she has a very dorky/geeky look about her.

Education
Jane is a student of the Mystic Arcanum, the primary university for all things arcane. She attends courses at Harrenhall's Satellite School and studies the Arcane School of Enchantments. In her final semesters, she became an intern under famous wizard Natalie Davneiros, who is a master of enchantments and evocation.
Employment
While in school, Jane found herself working part time at various places in Harrenhall. The longest job she held was working a Das Dracul's "Cutting Edge" sword rental shop. Here, she spent a lot of time studying swords and their craftsmanship, a "useless bit of knowledge" she claims was acquired. When she graduated the University, she was given a recommendation from Natalie to join the Harpers. She became an agent for the Harpers not long after.
Failures & Embarrassments
To aspire to be as famous as her professor in Divination who had studied and created Luck based magic, she attempted to make a type of Enchantment based magic dealing with love and affection. These experiments always ended with bad effects or moral dilemmas.

Jane suffers from Anxiety and frequently is afraid of failing her friends. The cause of this is unknown.

Jane is a very self-motivated person and has a knack at motivating others, especially Jonathan. She constantly strives to become a better wizard and to prove to the world that she is not just another little girl to get pushed around. She originally joins the Aegis Dawn to get closer to Jonathan but later desires to help the Wardens, The Harpers, and The Aegis Dawn to defeat the Crystal League and put an end to their evil plans.
