Venmae Davneiros is the first daughter of Jonathan Davneiros, the last Warden of Jade. Due to the "Humanity's Strength" Act in the early days of Reconstruction, Venmae was unable to follow her father's footsteps and become a Warden. Instead, the Warden's heiress was destined to walk a different path. Growing up in the time of Jade's Reconstruction humbled her and made her sensitive to the plight of the poor and down trodden. In an effort to help the town of Ashford with their bandit problem, Venmae joined a newly formed adventuring company called "The Hand of the Warden." House Davneiros hadn't joined an adventuring guild since the days of its progenitor, Rixan Davneiros who was a Ranger for the "Bear Claws Adventuring Guild." This would lead to her involvement in the "Twilight Shard Conspiracy" and later the conflicts pertaining to the return of the Queen of Darkness. During their quests, The Hand of the Warden would be the second adventuring group to discover the secret of the Davneiros' power, an ancient birthright of kings and path to the throne of Arenthia. As everyone before had taken the Oath of the Warden, Venmae Davneiros became the only one available to fill Arenthia's sovereign void. The Gith had attempted to massacre the entire bloodline of the Throne of Arenthia, unaware that the Davneiros Family, their greatest threat in the war was the last of the line. Venmae took the throne at the Hand of the Warden's suggestion, and became a shining beacon of hope throughout the country and the realm. While she may not have had much experience leading, she did bring forth the wisdom of the Wardens before her and the great leaders that she aspired to be like. In the days after the Queen of Darkness's defeat, Queen Venmae took several powerful steps to stabilize the state of the world. These steps included, but were not limited to: Re-establishing The Lord's Alliance as a unifying council, creation of the United Jade Skyfleet which served as an exploratory fleet of Airships to venture into new worlds, investing in the reformation of the Mystic Arcanum, and the relegitimizing of the Harper League as an international supernatural protection agency. At the time of her old age and death, she conceded her crown to her son. She symbolizes a new chapter, not only for House Davneiros, but also for the world. The day of her Coronation Festival is marked by scholars as the first day of a new "Era of Light."
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Venmae is considered very fit for a girl her age. She is very strong and well built. Her family doesn't really have "the genes" for muscular body types, but she herself is very well toned. Her body type is very similar to her grandmother, Penelope, who was also known for her strength. Venmae would admit though that she struggled in her teens appearing feminine and fitting in with the girls at school. She was a "late bloomer," not appearing more lady-like until her late teens. Many consider her attractive as she gets older, but can be seen as too "brutish" for some of the more higher members of society.

Ven is very toned. She works out often and it shows. Her physique keeps her from having any bulging muscles, but she has very good form. She is short for a Davneiros but not the shortest of her ancestry. Her body type has been referred to as a "stronger Jane." She shares a lot of her mother's features; soft round eyes, slightly larger than average bust, and smooth skin. If it wasn't for her armor hiding her womanly features, most people would consider her extremely beautiful. She shares blue eyes with her father and siblings. Most of her facial features, other than eye shape, is reminiscent of her father, who doesn't have a very masculine face to begin with.

At the age of 10, the Davneiros family had settled down at Ashford. She was unhappy with her father's sudden reluctance to return to being a Warden. Despite being told that her parents simply wanted her and her siblings to have the ability to live a normal, safe life, her heart was set on adventure. On her most frustrated days, she found solstice in the Wisdom of the Nine Saints. Both of her local heroes and guides have been clerics. The family's Guardian, Ser Sarak is a Cleric of the Nine saints who was happy to escort Ven to the local church every week. At the Ashford Cathedral, She would find further guidance volunteering around the community and seeking wisdom from the Head Priestess, Angelica the Glowing a half-angel who once served as Paladin for the Church when Jonathan sought out allies against the Gith. Angelica taught her about the patron saint of the Ashford Cathedral, the Lover. Angelica even bestowed upon Venmae the knowledge she needed to learn how to draw upon the Guidance of the Nine for magic, an ability that she kept secret from her parents. Other secrets she kept from her parents include: teaching herself to swing a sword, learning to throw kitchen knives, and resorting to stealing wine from the winery to buy herself armor and a sword. She planned to leave home one day and become a hero like her father once was.
At age 22, Vename had spent a week thinking that her parents had forgotten about her birthday, claiming they had spent all of their coin on her sibling's birthday the weeks prior. To her surprise, Jonathan had other plans. While she was not considered ready to wield the mighty sword of Harrenhall, Solaris, Jonathan gave her Venmae Calihorn's signature blade, The Blade of the Heavens. Venmae Calihorn was Ven's namesake and had protected her mother while she was preganant with Ven. When Calihorn had been slain on the battlefield, Jonathan had vowed to pass the sword on to whemever he deems worthy of such a blade. The Blade of the Heavens transformed to the sword length that matched the fighting style of the user. Calihorn had a dagger, Penelope had a Greatsword, and Venmae Davneiros now had a Longsword. Under the guise that Venmae would learn to be an adventurer with the help of the adventurers he hired to protect Ashford, Jonathan felt a bit more at ease about his daughter's safety, if she is anything like the rest of her family she would become a mighty hero. This would make Venmae a founding member of the Hand of the Warden. With the Hand of the Warden, Venmae took part in the Twilight Shard Conspiracy and assisted the guild in thwarting the efforts of the Queen of Darkness from returning to the world of Jade. In the process, The Hand of the Warden made a discovery while investigating the Legend of the Ruler of Light. The Davneiros Family was secretly the last in line to the Throne of Arenthia. Seizing this opportunity, The Hand of the Warden filled the power gap in the Arenthia's political climate by placing Venmae on the throne.

She has a Primary School education with some University classes. Ashford Community College, the school that her mother teaches at, offers many courses, but specializes in teaching people how to be wizards and mages. Venmae neither really had the aptitude nor the motivation to become an accomplished mage like her mother. She never really had the steady tinker's hands like her father. While she had an affinity for history and books, her fantasies of becoming a Warden led to her going into the woods, secretly training to be a fighter of kinds. She also received some clerical training from her volunteer service in the Church of the Nine Saints, under the High Priestess Angelica the Glowing.

In her teen years, Ven worked under the local alchemist and herbalist for a while as a part time job. She learned the basics of medicine there, but was fired due to an accident caused by clumsiness.
She later worked in an adventuring company called, "The Hand of the Warden."

Mental Trauma
Her childhood was considered violent, "an eye-opener to the plight of man," according to her father. Jonathan had been adamantly against having a child until after Gith had been defeated. As a result, Venmae was exposed to the brutal horror of war and the aftermath of it through the years of reconstruction. Many people, including the Davneiros family, were homeless. Jonathan, serving as warden before the Humanity's Strength Act, set out to the task of resettling people and repairing communities. This meant that Venmae was exposed to a lot of destruction and travelling.
When fighting with The Hand of the Warden for the first time, killing bandits did not faze her. She regretted having to kill someone, but in the end saw it as self-defense and a necessary action to protect the town of Ashford.

While not as smart as her little brother or sister, Venmae is literate and reads a lot. She has a pretty impressive memory when it comes to history and recalling important information. She is also good at puzzles.

Venmae has her own personal sense of code and honor. She believes in the guidance of the Church and believes the The Lover will help her heart in the darkest of times. She also is an avid believer in what the Wardens used to stand for; She believes in destroying monsters that plague the world and protecting the weak. In her early years of adventuring, she believes that someone needs to step up and fight for what's right. She even rebels against her father, believing that he has stepped down from responsibility and is letting the world die, like everyone else. Later in life, She would come to understand the mountainous task that she had scorned her father for not taking up. Either way, she plans on stepping up and being the leader that she thinks the world needs, whether that means self-proclaiming herself a warden or taking the reigns of something much greater.

While she shares a hobby of writing with her father, She secretly writes "smut" occasionally, although its not considered good as she has no personal experience with such perverted acts.

Since the Gith were destroyed, humanity is on it's knees. There are a lot of bad people in the world that are trying to take advantage. Venmae wants to protect those who can't protect themselves. She wished she could have been a warden like her father and ancestors.

Character Prototype
Jonathan was originally written off to be killed during the war with Gith. However, the group bonded with Jonathan more than originally planned. Thus, Jonathan lived to the end of "Songs of the Twilight Rose." Venmae was orginally planned to take up a more roguish build as an archer. However, bestowing the girl the "Blade of the Heavens" inspired a different thought process. Her more knightly appearance has gone through many iterations.
