Defences

The defenses of Bolme mainly consist of the walls that surround the inner part of the city, as well as various defenses in the harbor to protect from naval attacks. There are ballista on the walls to protect against arial attacks from either beasts or other people who intend to attack the city. As for the harbor, there would be large chains, called booms, to prevent a ship from entering or leaving the harbor without approval from the harbormaster. The giant chains were submerged beneth the water, keeping them somehwat hidden from the ship that is in question, and would be cranked up with windlass or capstan machines in designated buildings that housed the chains when not in use or while being repaired.

There are twelve recognized districts in Bolme: The Tower, Sisage's Way, Northgate, Wideway, Old Town, Honey Brook, Seven Hooks, Harbour District, Newall, Pig Road, Wool Hall, and Middlesong. As this is a walled city, there are some districts that are within the protection of the walls in their entirety: Newall, Harbour District, and Old Town. However, there are som districts that are split between the walled section and the land beyond the walls: Northgate, Wideway, Pig Road, and Sisage's Way. The districts outside of the walls, with no terrority within: Seven Hooks, Wool Hall, Middlesong, Honey Brook, and The Tower.

Architecture

The architecture of Bolme is comepletly classical, with the use of columns and symmetry, retangular windows, and buildings made with marble and concrete. The front doors of buildings are typically placed in the center of the structure face, being surrounded with symmetrical decorations, windows, and design elements. Most, if not all, buildings have medium pitched roofs, due to their symmetrical construction and their use in preventing the cave in of flat roofs due to high precepitation.

The climate of Bolme is a warm-temperate subtropical climate, with warm summers and cool winters. The daytime temperature in the summer months is around 84^oF. At night it is 64^oF.
