The Chronicles of the Itharia: Session Twenty-two
General Summary
When the party rose the next morning they headed to the "lagoon" they found an unstable chamber full of moonstone and collect 5 large moonstones for Nher Dest. once they reached the titular lagoon they found two individuals, Cry and Angus.
A pair of undead that don’t fit any of the typical undead natures. They are the undead that caused the issue at the mine. The party discussed with the two their origin, how they died, and why they were at the mine. They learned Angus was hired to work as a miner archaeologists and examine the ruins. He was going to advise the closing of the mine before he presumably died, though he doesn't remember dying so he has no idea how much he forgot/lost.
The party eventually decided they could take the two into Snowbright. Rhy and Ranrus discussed the fat that they thought Borris-Shine-stone likely killed Angus. The party went straight to see Illia Ellia. They were paid a bonus to never mention the orc demons. Illia also offered to give Cry and Angus a place to stay until they speak before the merchant council, a meeting she want the party to attend as well. She think it will take at least a few days if not weeks to arrange.
The party decided to finally take a shot at the Murder Mansion. The party attempted to place a bet on a fake individual (Theren in an illusion disguise) going into the mansion but were caught by Orethia Ovethekali. After her guidance they entered under themselves. They delivered the moonstones they picked up in the mines to The Boiler Pot. Upon hearing that the party was going into the Murder Mansion Nher Dest had a fairly emotional reaction. He supplied them with potions, and once again temporarily loaned his ring of invisibility to Lee.
The party entered the mansion. Upon hearing a giggle inside the first room they approached Rhy used her ghostly gaze and looked through several of the rooms on the first floor. She saw a charred room, a sitting room with a blonde woman sitting on a couch, a coat room with a creature in a closet, and a room full crates full of ingots, potions, jars, and rats.
Upon entering the charred room, Pip began to panic as he rushed away from some sort of unseen entity, and Rhy quickly dismissed him and summoned the celestial guardian and combat began.
