Angus Broughtwin

Angu  was a dwarf archeologist of some fame having made several ground breaking discoveries about lost giant civilizations. He was murdered by Borris Stoneshine when he advised shutting down the Snowbright Tanzanite Gem Mine do to what he consider an arcanely dangerous set of locations, noting the strangeness of the lava stream fresh water glad and an ancient tomb in such proximity. He had been especially concerned about the tomb. rather then let the mines close  he killed Angus only to have a series of ill fated event that followed still result in the closing of the mines. anugus rose as a risen having lost the memory in the immediate vicinity of his death. Cry discovered him in the snow and the two camped in the waterfall chamber of the mines waiting for someone the could talk to calmly who eventually turned out to be the Realm Walkers.7
The realm walkers encouraged him to reach out to the Itharia  both as a risen and an archeologist with some familiarity with dragon gates.
