Goliaths
Large, towering and imposing, goliaths are humanoids with giants blood flowing through their veins. Goliaths are the result of giants, one of the prized creations of Cerathor, wanting to have representatives in the lands of men. Goliaths were built from stone and ice, breathed to life with the magic of powerful giant shamans. They are larger than humans and possess a savage brutality that can only be traced back to their giant kin. After the great Giant kingdoms were shattered by the draconians, the goliaths were freed from the servitude they suffered under their pure blood kin. Now goliaths live in tribes among the Oshodel tundra living harsh lives and frequently clashing with the orc tribes that live in the same area. Goliaths live simple lives as nomads in the tundra, spitting upon the concepts of both gods and civilization. During the time of the Brenaurus Empire, several tribes ventured south to greener lands for their tribes and livestock. The empire wiped out these tribes and sent soldiers up into the north, warring with some of the other tribes that lived there. This war stopped during the sundering.
Goliaths are tall, strong and hardy. They are hard to beat in a fight and renown for savage ferocity. They raise huge horses that are the size that they are, standing at about 20 hands high. Tales are told of savage warriors riding in on huge horses and plundering villages, killing all in their way.

Civilization and Culture
History
Goliaths used to be a servant class of the giants. After their cities were scattered by draconian attackers, goliaths took to the rugged tundras. They have lived there in tribes ever since, raising livestock and clashing with orcs or other goliath tribes in brutal raids. Many of these tribes ventured south into the empire. They were subsequently annihilated and the empire retaliated by invading Oshodel. The goliaths were only saved from extinction by the sundering of the world and the rise of the winter queen.
