Ikos Craft and Trade Guild

The Ikos Craft and Trade Guild is a crafting guild that was founded in 515 AF in order to regulate the trade and usage of the newly-discovered Ikos. It is an international guild, having a presence in every nation of Ithan. This guild regulates the trade, price, mining, creation, crafting, and marking of Ikos. Laws made by the guild vary in different countries, but they are similar in nature. Punishments for breaking a law made by the guild range from a fine of 100 Rial to death by hanging, depending on the severity of the offense. This guild is headquartered in the Ikos Guild Building in Amberfrey.

Regulatory Power

The Ikos Craft and Trade Guild has the power to regulate all aspects of the usage of Ikos in almost every nation of Ithan. The exception is Atril, which regulates the price — but no other aspects — of Ikos independently to the guild. The current set price of raw, natural Ikos in every country except Atril is 60 Rial per kilogram. The price of raw, synthetic Ikos is slightly lower, at 59 Rial and 1 Pent. Within Atril, the price of Ikos is determined by each individual city-state, but averages out around the worth of 62 Rial for both forms of Ikos.

Working for the Guild

There are roughly three million members of the Ikos Craft and Trade Guild as of the 1320 AF cooperative census. Members of the guild range from Ikos Craftspeople to merchants to government officials. To join the guild, one must file the appropriate paperwork with the local branch office. These offices can be found in most major cities of Ithan. In the event a branch office is not local to a potential member, the nearest branch office may be used.
