Álttainen was a nation in the northeast of Iskaldhal in the 4000s EA. It was destroyed in systematic fashion by Jiekkaisa after the great wyrm took offense to its presence for some unknown reason, leading to the near-total devastation of its historical landmarks.
It was succeeded by many smaller organisations, some of which later formed the country of Naarim.
