Pakan (PACK-uhn)
Pakan is a town of 12,000 inhabitants that sits near the shore of Kirok Lake in northwestern Melas. The population is mostly human, but also consists of other races who are refugees from other regions.
Pakan was once the center of the Eachism movement, and Each-Uisge itself was thought to inhabit the nearby Lake Kirok.
During the events of the The Elemental Sundering, Pakan was the center of perhaps the bloodiest and most tragic uprising of those that took place all over the Isle almost simultaneously. Known, perhaps ironically, as the Wonderful Night the citizens had for months been led to believe that clerics of Each-Uisge were systematically kidnapping children from the settlement in order to perform dark sacrifices to their god. Under the goading of several influential members of the The Wondrous Order, the clerics were rounded up and slaughtered, as well as the members of the community who was perceived as being sympathetic.
