FB03: The Ruins at Day

During the day, the ruins of the forgotten temple are still, with no unnatural presence. They feel almost safe, even. Grass grows between old paving stones of ancient paths leading between buildings. Small critters scamper and hide behind large, fallen stones.   Other than the main temple building, nothing else remains standing. There are some low walls that continue to outline what once were small houses, stables, or workshops and maybe a door archway or two is still intact, but there is nothing of particular interest in any of these buildings. The entire settlement was centered around the temple and all of the out-buildings were there to support it. It is a small settlement that would have played host to no more than a hundred residents and less than half that in visiting travelers.   All of the buildings are made from either a light gray stone or a white marble. The paths are a light gray cobblestone. Plant growth has overcome many of them, but not the temple (though even it has several vines crawling up its walls and grass poking through floor tiles in places). Design of the buildings can be described as being somewhat similar to ancient Greek architecture, with a heavy Egyptian influence (especially in writing and any attendant statuary).
