A bustling village smells of cooking meat and vegetables over an open fire. Tucked in a valley, this place is hard to find, even with the noise and smells that catch on the wind and wander. Dragonkin continue working, moving quickly, and finishing tasks to prepare for some coming weather. Everything here is about their community, the outside world is not necessary. For those that live here, there is nothing but peace of mind in this reclusive lifestyle.
Brown Dragonkin are descendants of one of the Elder Races and a Brown Dragon. These people inherited much of their personalities and lifestyles from their ancestors, choosing to be reclusive and hide themselves away in small villages. They strive to be self-sufficient, needing the outside world and others for nothing, creating and doing everything with their own hands. Even in the Fearsome Maw, it is difficult to find one of these Dragonkin out and about.
Above all else, these people respect peace of mind and what an individual can do if they set their minds to it. This is their purpose, to become craftsmen and sailors and all other manners of professions so that they may live life alone with their own color. In many ways, the Brown Dragonkin are much like the Mauskin were before their discovery, using their abilities to help their communities and remain away from others. These are one of the few Dragonkin that do not fall to the ego of Chromatic Dragons, as ego rarely allows such a lifestyle.

Anatomy

Brown Dragonkin share some specific traits with their Draconic ancestors that prove their ties to the Brown Dragons. Their facial features are sharp, with a jawline that comes to a sharp point, similar to a beard. Multiple sets of horns protruding from their head, strong, ridged tails, and large muscular bodies are also common in Brown Dragonkin.
All Dragonkin inherit sharp claws, extremely strong and protective scales, as well as a breath weapon that they can use. Some of these traits are affected by the color of the Dragonkin as the many varieties of Dragons also vary greatly in their abilities. Brown Dragonkin often have a resistance to sounds that would deafen most creatures while their breath weapon is an extreme blast of sound that deafens their enemies and allows the Brown Dragonkin to escape easily.

While their coloration is in their name, Brown Dragonkin can still come in a variety of shades of brown, matching the shades found in the scales of Brown Dragons. Their scales can range from a light tan color to a deep chocolate brown. The color of their eyes has a much smaller range, often only being yellow, brown, red, green, grey, or purple.

Brown Dragonkin prefer living in small groups of their own color, often hidden from others so that they may keep their reclusive lifestyles. Brown Dragons also prefer reclusive lifestyles, so this way of life is natural for this color of Dragonkin. They prefer to keep to themselves and rarely interact with outside groups, even other colors of Chromatic Dragonkin unless absolutely necessary. Even within the Fearsome Maw, these Dragonkin are rarely seen out in the open within their district.
Because of their reclusive lifestyles, their culture is relatively simple and tends to focus on how an individual can serve their community and how a community can be self-sufficient. This makes those Brown Dragonkin that choose to leave their tribes and groups for other societies extremely productive members of the societies they join.
