First Arrival

The first arrival of humans on Mars. Landing at what would become Utopia Base, a SpaceX Starship with 20 people came down to begin the long process of colonization. This base would be partly funded by the United Nations, and as such became the UN Utopia Colony.

This is one of the dates that all Martians are made to remember, as it is a pivotal point in Martian history. The date when humans first landed on the red ball which they now call home. While none of these people would 'overoppertunity', i.e. stay for a launch oppertunity, they did establish the starts of an ice mine, a base, farm, refueling station, and launch/landing pads. A vast solar array provides enough of a trickle to keep people alive and refuel their ships, though a nuclear reactor is promised for a future mission. A slight majority of these first crew members ended up living on mars.
