The Constitution of the People's Democratic Republic of Mars, Cis-Martian Space and All Associated Settlements
This incredibly important document is a cornerstone of the PDRM, and once officially ratified by the UN, became its primary governing principle. The constitution is a living document, and before every addition or change, 2/3 of the Martian Populace must agree to it. In addition, to become a voting PDRM citizen, a citizen must sign the Constitution, though they may officially protest parts of it.
The Constitution is heavily based around the ideas of super-majority, requiring more than half of a group to come to an agreement, and due to the relatively secular nature of the original colonists, sets up a secular nation.

Historical Details
History
This document was officially signed by the majority of the colonists of Utopia Base on the 5th of December, 2095. After a brief skirmish, this was ratified by the United Nations of Earth, an act which formally overturned the Outer Space Treaty. Original PDRMN Constitution.
Public Reaction
The majority popualtion of Utopia, of course, agreed with the Constitution. However, residence of other parts of Mars saw them as being rather high and mighty, and ditching thousands of years of culture and history by seperation. However, over time, this feeling has lessened, and nowadays it is seen as a positive document, agreed to, at least mostly, by the majority of PDRM citizens.
