PDRMN Vac Suit
The suit worn for most Vacuum operations by PDRMN personnel, this is a simple and reliable compression type space suit, fitted to every member of the crew.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The suit is primarily composed of a woven steel mesh, covered with a thin white plastic covering. The steel mesh provides the pressure, while the plastic prevents direct heating or cooling of the mesh. Heating, cooling and life support are all provided by the backpack, which has a small re-breather system that can sustain a person fro around 8 hours. The only pressurized part of the suit is the helmet, which has a thick plastic mask for visibility, as well as a small tube for a camel pack.
The suit has a few systems that make it easier to put. Under an electric charge, some bands in the arms, legs, and torso expand, allowing for easy insertion. In addition, being individually tailored, they fit perfectly against the skin. Most people tend to wear special coveralls over top, for pockets, insulation and modesty.
