PDRMN Torpedo
A small, sleek and deadly weapon, deployed in large swarms to overwhelm a PD system. Torpedoes are chemical rockets, using easily storable Methane-Oxygen systems, and typically have a shaped nuclear charge as a payload.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The torpedo has a set of 8 small thrusters 1 m from its nose for maneuvering, allowing it to rotate around 180 degrees in less than 2 seconds.
Their primary engine burns at 4 g for up to 2 min.
The torpedo will detonate itself if it detects its target, an enemy missile, or if has run out of fuel.
They typically carry a small (1.5 kTon) shaped nuclear charge, but can also carry:
Tracking bouy (emits a high power radio beacon when pinged)
Nanite package (Slowly infiltrates the ship, weakening armour)
Nuclear Material (Dirty bomb)
Small (<1 g) Antimatter bottle
Auto inflating Mylar balloon for cover
