PDRMN Torchpedo
A torchpedo is an impressive, and deadly weapon that can chase a target to the end of the solar system, and still develop a kinetic energy kill strike. Using the smallest available fusion engine, it is still a large ship, only slightly smaller than a shuttle, but it makes up for it's bulk and cost with its utility and pure destructive capability. It has an on board synthetic intelligence (HV-0.7) that controls entire torpedo, independent of any outside intelligence.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The fusion tokomak produces around 0.5 PW of power, heavily mixed in with H2 propelling it at a nominal 5 to a maximal 12 g, with a reserve of 1.57E7 m/s.
A ring of 8 maneuver thrusters allow for rapid jinks to avoid PD systems.
The cone of the rocket typically holds a shaped fusion charge for an extra kick, but can also hold:
Nuclear Material (Dirty bomb)
EMP with a 50-100 km radius
Large Nanite package (Can target and eliminate weaponry or specific systems on the target ship)
Antimatter spread (4-5 g)
It can also carry some non-military packages, such as:
Data storage, 0.5 EB of data.
Supplies (10 m^3, 10-15 tons). For urgent needs, typically replacement parts.
Life Support/Human Habitat. Can transport 1 person with 5 days of life support. Only used in dire circumstances, such as a lifeboat or military advice.
Radar/Sensor Bouy. Can fly alongside its mothership and add additional sensor information, even send out powerful radar pings from far away.
Flare. Can burn its engine at max to briefly confused missiles, drawing them away from the mothership.
