Martian Timekeeping

Martian Timekeeping is entirely revolved around Mars time, not Terran time like many other systems. To this end, Mars uses martian days and years as the units of its timekeeping. A Martian Day is divided into 24 Martian Hours, each of which have 60 Martian Minutes and each of which have 60 Martian Seconds. These are just refereed to as days, hours, minutes and seconds within the The People's Democratic Republic of Mars . Every month has exactly or nearly 4 weeks. The Martian year is 668 days, but every odd year, and years ending in 0 have an extra day.
These days are split into 24 months, alternating between typical Earth months and new Martian Months like this:
1. January, 28 days
2. Sagittarius, 28 days
  3. February, 28 days
4. Capricorn, 28 days
  5. March, 27 days (28 in leap years)
6. Aquarius, 28 days
  7. April, 28 days
8. Pisces, 28 days
  9. May, 28 days
10. Aries, 27 days
  11. June, 28 days
12. Taurus, 28 days
  13. July, 28 days
14. Gemini, 28 days
  15. August, 27 days
16. Cancer, 28 days
  17. September, 28 days
18. Leo, 28 days
  19 .October, 28 days
20. Virgo, 27 days
  21. November, 28 days
22. Libra, 28 days
  23. December, 28 days
24. Scorpius, 28 days
Many of these months have alternate names in different languages, and in these cases they are simply directly translated. However, in legal texts and inside the Government, these names are used.
The year 0 of the martian calendar is the year of the Mariner 4 flyby, Terran year 1964. As such, the current year is 150 MA (Mars Anno).
Important dates in the Martian calendar: Aquarius 7th - Aquarius 28th Spring Holidays
