Mariam is explored and ancient facilities are discovered.

Slyth transmission tower firmly in control, a distress call was picked up from the nearby world of Miriam. The Scream had hit that world as well, and the psionic weather control device once keeping the world a verdant paradise, malfunctioned, flash freezing it beneath close to 50m of ice and snow almost overnight.   Scattered groups of survivors made it to rooftops, spires, and even some monuments poking above the snowcap, and from there, began the process of scavenging the new world below. An endless process of building began, and a handful of domed settlements in various areas of the world were created. The survivors descended into a vicious resource war, kept from venturing north to fix the tower by an incredibly powerful 'stormshield'.   Charles, Katya, and their local guides, Karl and Zam, ventured to the tower in a specially built snow-machine, utilizing the entire productive might of the city Silent Springs- and several scavenging trips to abandoned nearby domes.   Inside, they battled through hellish conditions, including haywire maintenance bots, superfrosted gasses, and environmental hazards, as snow began filling the tunneled into bottom levels. With a last minute stroke of genius, Charles was able to disable the machine, thus ending the storm.   Miriam will never be a warm planet again, as initially projected, but free of the lashing, surface scouring storms, the domes are no longer at threat, and civilization can once again grow.
