Night World
The world is plunged into eternal darkness. The only life on this planet derives its energy from other sources, such as geothermal heat, extremely volatile chemical reactions in the planet's soil, or light in a non-visible spectrum. Most flora and fauna is voraciously eager to consume other life.
Recent Events:
The Remnant raided the planet several times over the last few months, first for resources, then for bodies to fill the holds of their troopships.
The Aslief government decided finally, to take a stand. The Remnant did not look kindly on the defiance, and sent the 45th Combined Arms Corps, along with a mindhunter unit to carry off as much as possible, leaving a ruined world in their wake.
Several cities were on their last legs when reinforcements from Greenbriar entered the battle space, destroying the enemy fleet and scattering their forces on land.
Santee and LaCrosse were both almost totally ruined in the fighting. Cove Neck also saw severe ruin- heavy guns used at almost point blank to bring down the buildings.
The orbital defense base and the nuclear testing base fared better, the targets of the most colonial aid. Commander Cole, the base commander for the nuclear installation was grateful for the help.
The world government, now seated in Cove Neck, ousted Commander Cole for her ineffective defense of the planet, despite it not falling into Remnant hands anyway. She was later recruited into the Elysium Protectorate where she met her eventual demise.
Aslief was again visited by Robert Tanzer, and has agreed to hold its grievances about a lack of development a while longer, as more investment in the world was promised.
