Throne of Want

The Throne of Asmodeus, which grants him dominion over Baathos and all its denizens.

Purpose / Function

The Throne of Want is a large and impressive Throne that Asmodeus had constructed, and each of his Lords of Hell sacrifice a portion of their Essence into in return for command of their own layer of Baathos. This serves to bind them to Asmodeus as well as grant them a portion of his own power over lesser Fiends. So long as the Throne of Want exists a semblance of order exists within the Nine Hells.

Alterations

Asmodeus will occasionally reforge the Throne of Want, while its power remains unchanged the God of Tyranny often grows bored with stagnant designs and will offer great rewards to those who improve upon the aesthetic design of his seat of power.

Architecture

The Throne as it stands currently, is a mound of True Ice bound in Black Iron. causing an everlasting fog and mist to fill the chambers. Purple Hellfire geysers were added to the Throne Room, and a number of Fiends, Demons, Angels, and even one unlucky Human who drew the ire of Asmodeus are bound within this chamber in perpetual torment.

History

The Throne of Want has existed for as long as Asmodeus has had Lords to act in his stead, as an Angel for the Firstborn Asmodeus understood the importance of order even in a place dedicated to evil and punishment. The First Throne of Want was a mound of skulls around a large stalagmite of obsidian that rose from the depths of Baathos through to the other lands of Hell. As the tides of power shifted in Baathos, Asmodeus has changed the appearance of the Throne time and time again, each time having his Lords come to re-bind themselves to its power as a symbol of his continued dominance over them even at his most distant they belonged to him.
