Personal history

Nyloth was chosen from the house of blades to act as bodyguard to Ro T'kahn, who ruled over the colonies in what was formally known as Sya'Nau. Ro T'Kahn was a religious fanatic obsessed with becoming a Shade to complete his conection with Yheia, and as such often neglected his military duties against any banners raised by Traris Insir or other rebel hold outs. Nyloth took up these duties, and while she held a great deal of tactical training she held little practical experience. this led to a series of defeats, before Nyloth abandoned traditional army tactics and relied instead on assassination, bribery, and ambushes. these leveled the field, and pushed Traris back into the wilds. while Ro took credit for his bodyguards handy work and returned north for celebrations and another attempt to gain favor with the Voss, Nyloth stayed in the south to build trust among the other colonies and foster allies of her own. when Ro set sail in the summer to return to his province, there was an unfortunate accident causing his ship to be lost at sea. with no living heirs the holdings of T'kahn were bought up by his rivals, Nyloth's new allies. shortly following this, Nyloth  was granted titles and ownership over a great deal of Ro T'kahn's former estates which no longer showed favoritism towards the Voss. Nyloth was now a vizier to the first house of Hydras. while Nyloth was from a much lower house in standing, her holdings of the more fertile farmland south allowed the vizier to strike deals with the middle and higher houses to further increase her standing. from sellswords, to leading flagship raids with the Reavers the House of Blades rose through the ranks thanks to Nyloth, though treachery from within would waylay the Dark Elves standing. Nyloth's mother would accuse her of treason, falsifying evidence she had conspired with Insir rebels to strike at unprotected provinces along the southern colonies. Nyloth's allies were all that kept her from summary execution, with the concern of potential civil strife among the lower houses who adored Nyloth. while this false claim did lead to several years in the slave pens, Nyloth remained in contact with her allies who undermined the house of blades claim against her. oddly enough it was one from the House of Hydras that would be the key to her freedom. the youngest son, Tatres Zolrae, sought power of his own but needed the crafty Nyloth to bring his plans to fruition. Zolrae promised a place in the House of Hydras in return for her services. Nyloth, as was her way, had developed relationships among the slaves, and organized an uprising that drew a number of house guards away from their posts to quell, while at the same time being purchased by Zolrae and brought to the House of Hydras. inside, taking advantage of the situation Nyloth and her fellow slaves killed Zolraes rival family members before Nyloth slew her former friends. when the House Guard returned, Zolraes proclaimed Nyloth his savior and immediately granted her freedom and a new position in the house as he took control. Nyloths vengeance against her mother came swiftly. she had foolishly fled south to escape the revolts in fear for her live and any threat her Nyloth might prove only to be captured by her daughters allies in the colonies. brought to face crimes of inciting a slave uprising in an attempt to seize power, Nyloths mother was executed and her holdings given to her daughter as recompense for her false claims. Zolraes was slain during the Blacksail raids not long after this event, though many suspect Nyloth was behind it having learned the cost of trusting another Dark Elf for too long. Nyloth's station in the House of Hydras grants her potent control of the Dark Elf forces in Ravan, and the loyalty of the colonies serves as her base of power preventing the other houses from attempting outright coup.

Nyloth was raised to serve as a bodyguard and assassin. Nyloth was later granted the title of Vizier before becoming a slave until finally the Dark Elf was taken in by the House of Hydras as a ward before she found herself as the matron.
