History
Elves were spawned by the god Umeran After the Age of Dragons had come to an end. Umeran created the Elven demigods to better diversify the species, creating each one with a purpose in mind. Umeran would create the House of Prophets, and each house a demigod who would forge a specialzed house to aid the community as a whole. Umeran merge his own Essence into Sya'Nau to protect the land and open a gate to the Wildlands where his creations would return to after a time to resume the Circle as they called it, the never ending cycle of life, death and rebirth. For centuries the Elves tended to the World, repairing what damage was done while developing their own mystic arts, until Umerans Grand-Daughter Leanara attempted to break her offpsring from the Circle, and end the Dwarves constant destruction of the Deep World. For this transgression Leanara was cast out from the Wildlands, and into the Abyss where she was corrupted by Tharyzduns madness, and her offpsring similarly banished to the Deep Caverns for eons to come. The Circle never fully recovered from the loss of Leanara and her brood, the Houses splintered into many lesser houses to fill the void and the Circle limped on. Until many centuries later, when the Khoven and the Voss attempted to bring Human dominion to the world, and the first of many great wars was fought in ancient Sya'Nau. The Elves would rebuke all invaders, using their mastery of the Arcane and the Druidic arts to repell their would be invaders, Until the Voss bound themselves to the Shadow, leading to a long bitter war between the Wild and the Fell. This war lasted until the Long Night, when the Shadow spilled into the Material World, allowing the Voss to strike directly at their enemy, as well as the well timed strike of the Dark Elves who had come once again to bloody the fields of Sya'Nau. The Circle finally broke, the House of Umeran was lost and the Elves made reffugees cast out from Sya'Nau, now called Ravan by the Voss, Dark Elf alliance.

Sya'Nau was the First Prophet of Umeran, a great Druid who led the Houses to the Spirit Tree and forged many of their customs with aid from the Demigods Umeran had created before their bonding to the World.
