Divine Goals & Aspirations

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

While under the guise of Fatescribe, Iribus was a being of many metal arms and gears, cloaked in flowing wisps of shadow and light.   Iribus is a powerful God, and a lich, a feat previously assumed to be impossible. Iribus is always cloaked in scaled robes and a mask of a blank faced human, like a death mask, few have seen behind the mask of Iribus.

Special abilities

Specialized Equipment

While under the guise of Fatescribe, Iribus' was instrumental in creating the Stone of Fate and the base foundation of the Sphere.

Personal history

Iribus has existed since the first breath of creation, in those early days before even the binding of the Titans by the Firstborn Iribus was known as The Fatescribe. it was The Fatescribe which gifted knowledge to the Firstborn on how to enslave the Titans and Primordials to their will and imprison the Aberrations. The Fatescribe's gift of knowledge allowed the Firstborn to forge the Sphere, ordering the creation of the Planes. Not all of Iribus' gifts would be heeded however, as Fatescribe would warn of Thrayn and Asmodeus' betrayal to the others of the Firstborn. After the Premonition came to pass however, none would ignore the Fatescribes visions again. When Haylos accused Fatescribe's visions of leading her and her offspring to their damnation it would be silent. After Haylos destroyed Fatescribe a final scroll was found, foretelling its return as a masked god from a hidden place within the Sphere.    Iribus would return eons later, shortly after the before the fall of Khoven. Iribus would come to many of the gods, offering secrets and power in return for unknown gifts. The Masked God whispered to Mephistopheles how to usurp Asmodeus, though this was later revealed to be a plot on Asmodeus part to break his bonds in Baathos, it is unclear if Iribus was allied with Asmodeus or not. Iribus has always had a quiet cult following, brewing rumors that powerful druids and clerics of other faiths were secretly allied to the God of Secrets. One such revelation came during the Long Night, when the Demon Djinxxor revealed himself to be a servant of Iribus along with his collection of corrupted druids from the Untamed Lands, now known as Antaeus. Because of the nature of Iribus, everything learned about the mysterious god is considered a half truth, even when his Champion Pharisane rebelled against his god there are many who remain unconvinced of this supposed coup.     The Madman Vol-Ur Nhezar proclaims to have spoken with Iribus in a white void at the Edge of the Sphere, which he claims is All that is Lost. "In the infinite nothingness of that realm I felt myself die in every breath. the Masked god towered over me. he wore a blank mask and a robe of shadows. He asked for my work, the Scrolls. when I asked what a God needed of a mortal scribe he said that no god was omnipotent. I asked him if the rumors were true, that I could barter for knowledge as the Great Enemy had once done. he did not answer, but it didn't matter. I asked the Masked God of his origins. he claimed to have been born three times, once in the first breath of creation, again when the Khoven discovered Lichdom, and once more which has yet to occur. I asked which of these was true he said he dealt in secrets not lies, that they were all as true as they were false. I spent years in the void as the Masked Gods guest, yet upon my return barely an hour had passed."

unknown to many of the Sphere, Iribus is responsible for the shattering of the Leylines, whether this is deliberate or not is unclear.

Failures & Embarrassments

for some unknown reason Iribus allowed one of his most powerful cults to be located and summarily executed in Vathrius.

Intellectual Characteristics

The God of Secrets has been shown to be frighteningly intelligent , outwitting Mythlys and even Asmodeus. even at the gods weakest moments, few in the Sphere have dared to make an enemy of Iribus.
