The continent of Ylence is regal and sophisticated land. Much of the continent has been domesticated, with only a few outlying areas still open to the untamed spirit of nature. Here, warfare is a thing of the past, as the entire landmass is controlled by one single governing body: the Bien-aimee Council. Due to this, the various city states live in relative harmony with each other, preferring to use the machinations of trade and politics rather than bows and swords to resolve any disagreements.
The land itself holds within its border many sprawling fields, vernal forests, high snow capped peaks, and serene clear blue shores. Truly, at first blush at least, all is well on this thriving continent. However many threats still lay crawling beneath the surface. Be it roving gangs of Kobolds, drow incursions, an ancient white dragon in that has taken residence in the
Frostspire Range, or strange undead walking the land, there is plenty to be afraid of as well.
However, perhaps the most insidious malice comes from the guilds themselves. Some of their element always seek to get a leg up over the other, despite the
Guildwick Covenant. None of this mentions the minor or criminal guilds, each trying their hardest to get a seat on the
Bienam Council.
