History of Lavenna

Lavenna, the land of violet fields, of the thousand cultures, the southern jewel. It has long stood as an impossibly divided and environmentally devastated region with countless ethnicities, beliefs, languages and nationalities. Now, it stands as one. This is the history of how this vast, diverse land forged a communal, environmentally connected identity and overcame their mutual squabbles in order to coexist, both with one another, as well as with the natural environment, which they are dedicated to restoring and protecting.

Planetfall

... 1998 PA

The arrival of humanity on Eshveira (Known then as Hespera 4b) should have been the salvation of the species. Instead, it proved to be the greatest trial we've ever faced. After centuries of interstellar travel onboard the first wave generation ship, the "Ikaros", the great great grandchildren of those who departed a dying Earth finally set foot on the verdant soil under an alien sun. But while settlements sprung up and the flame of humanity took root on the new world, it quickly became apparent that Earth-borne life was acting as an unstoppable invasive species, eradicating local flora and fauna at an alarming rate. The entire biosphere would collapse within a few decades.

    Arrival of the Second Flotilla
    Population Migration / Travel

In a single day, the world turned on its axis. What began as a breathtaking display of meteor showers soon revealed itself to be the arrival of the Second Wave- the beleaguered remnants of the Thesean Flotilla, humanity’s long-forgotten second attempt to colonize Eshveira. Their ships, battered and barely functional after generations of internal mutiny and decay, fell from orbit like burning omens.

Millions disembarked in desperation, bringing with them foreign technologies, fragmented ideologies, and the desperate ingenuity of survivors. Weilding knowledge and tools unfamiliar to the descendants of the First Wave, their arrival sparked a new era. One of breathtaking innovation, yes, but also brutal conflict.

    Revolution

In the sweltering summer of -17 PA, rebellion sweeps across Seriphani-occupied puppet regimes. Years of ecological collapse, cultural repression, and enforced industrialization spark a wave of decentralized uprisings.

Food strikes become farmland takeovers, and sabotaged rail lines turn into lifelines for smuggling medicine and knowledge. Amid the chaos, a scattered constellation of communes and republics begins to take root, as local communities reclaim autonomy in droves. Some are reborn from older communal traditions; others are declared anew in the name of survival and solidarity. Together, they create the loose but growing patchwork that will come to define Lavenna’s future, a future rooted not in power or borders, but in mutual aid, environmental care, and collective autonomy.

    Military action

(CHANGE THIS TO BE MORE IMPACTFUL AND EARLIER TO BE THE CATALYST TO CREATE THE FIRST REPUBLICS   Lavennic forces become surrounded at the small town of Koubaru in southern Celvesso. In the worst military defeat of the war, the Seriphanese relentlessly bombard the ancient fortified city, and for three gruelling days the city is held. The Seriphanese eventually overtake the defences, and no Lavennic soldiers survive. Consequentially, the defeat, while a major blow to the Lavennic war effort, becomes a rallying cry for Lavenna, and strengthens the multicultural bonds being forged during the war. It becomes a potent image that Aldanti, Sülvondish, Borashti, Kofarsi, Vardish, Celvessans Voreitans and Matroshki all fought and died side by side.
