Rolling the Dice
Rolling the dice is how we decide things when random chance and events can change the outcome. If there is no chance of failure or success, the GC should opt not have a dice roll.
We use 2d10 (2 ten-sided dice). This is the standard dice roll for most things in Intergalactic. You roll two ten-sided dice and add the results together.
We use a D100 on some of your charts. To do this you roll two ten-sided and designate one die as first (The tens Die) and the other second (The ones Die). The range is then 01 – 100. e.g., If you roll a '6’ on your first die (tens) and ‘5’ on your second (ones), you rolled a 65. Rolling ‘0’ on both dice is a 100 and is the best you can roll.
Skill Checks
All skill and ability checks have a target number for you to achieve. We call this target number “SC” Skill Check. This target number is set by the task you are trying or by the Game Controller. You need to equal or exceed this target number on your 2d10 roll with applicable modifiers to succeed at your skill check.
Combat
Combat is much the same; your attack roll needs to equal or exceed the target’s defense. More on this under the combat section.
Damage
Damage comes in various forms such as 1d6 (Your standard dice type we all know and love). There are also 4-sided, 8-sided, and 12-sided. There are others out there but they are not used in Intergalactic.
