The Dragon Guard
The Dragon Guard, the protectors of the Eledhrim's royal family, the Hacende's. To be one is a great honor. To become one is extremely difficult. They go with the Hacende's everywhere, from within their lands to around the world. To be prepared for any weather, any environment, any people, it is an exhausting task and one that takes centuries to be ready for.
Some wonder why a family of Royals with Drakie on their side would need guards. Considering the size of most Drakie, having a guard or three that can get inside buildings with you is quite useful.

Protecting The Twins
In reality, I'm just the knight assigned to protect Princes Beithir though I often partner up with Sir Eruaran who guards Prince Veryan, the princess' twin brother and heir to the Throne of Scale and Sky. I never expected protecting a pair of twins to be so immensely difficult. As children Prince Veryan would dart off and disappear, often with Princess Beithir following out of fear of him being harmed, leaving Sir Eruaran, myself and one of their parents to follow after them. This did not change as they grew up. Now incredibly brave and intelligent young adults, I have gotten use to the twins' crazy ideas as they generally work. It doesn't mean I don't worry for their safety, I do, I just know that with my training and the training they have received, they will get out of whatever they got themselves into alive. Now just to get the Princess out of her shell. She's a wonderful young woman, just very quite, keeps to herself. There are so many people who love her, I just wonder why she lets her nervousness blind her to that.
