Seeing Glass

While I never allowed being visual impaired hinder my life nor my goal at becoming a knight, not being able to read with ease always annoyed me. While my sister, Ariel, my friend, Úruvion, and wife, Úrui were kind enough to read things to me, I truly wished to be able to read things on my own especially since they could not always be with me. When I stumbled upon a small piece of glass that enlarge the words of the document I was reading, I jump at the possibility that I might now be able to read on my own.
It did not take long for me to assemble the first pair of Seeing Glass and I was soon reading on my own. A couple of our blacksmiths did some investigating and figured out how to reinforce it with Dragon Glass so that it could be made into the helmets of our Riders who also have poor vision, whether it be what lies close to them or what flies far away.
I am eternally grateful to have discovered this special glass as it has not only improved my life but the lives of many throughout Gîlmunrîel. I've enjoyed seeing others in my position not walk into doorframes.

The refinement of it can be a bit complex but for the most basic form, it clears up the persons' vision, allowing them to see more clearly.

Discovery

This incredibly useful invention was discovered by Lord Sadron Isthír quite by accident. The Elrim lord is quite farsighted and has always struggled to make out details when near. When he discovered that certain glass enlarges words, making them clear, he quickly set about making it to where he could wear them upon the face so that he could read with ease.
