Dragons

Overview

Dragons were the most prominent species on Inanta before the Era of the Magical Creature and up to the Era of Mages. At the beginning of the Era of Mages is when most of the Sentient Magical Races started to gather together, build towns and villages, and record history. Dragons never bother to record their history as it was passed down through their genetics.

Types of Dragons

There are five known types of dragons:

• Purpura - Purple Dragons
• Caeruleum - Blue Dragons
• Rubrum - Red Dragons
• Viridi - Green Dragons
• Flavo - Yellow Dragons

There are two unknown types of dragons:

• Kala - Black Dragons
• Cita - White Dragons

Social Structure

Dragons live in small cluster called a flight. Each flight consist of an alpha pair, the strongest couple of the flight, plus several beta and omega.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

In the Era of the Magical Creature, Dragon Flights lived all across Inanta. In the Era of Mages, the Dragons slowly started to die out. Now, they can only be found in remote regions, usually the islands of Inanta, when they can be found at all.
Dragons can shape shift into sentient being that they want. When the elders first realize that there weren't enough dragons to keep the species viable, they decided that in order to keep their race alive in one form or another, they would need to spread their genetic material all the other species.
Now, every dragon, once they have come of age, shifts into another species, mates with someone from that species, has children, and leaves their genetic markers with that family line. Somewhere along that family tree, a child or children will be born who will show the dragon genetic markings in some way, shape, or form. These children will be especially talented in academic, magic, and shape shifting. They will also have a longer then normal lifespan and be harder to kill.

Average Intelligence

Dragons as a species are highly intelligent and only get more intelligent as they get older.

Dragons are magic. Their bones, organs, scales - their everything are made of magic. They live, breathe, and die magic. They are the most magical creature/being on Inanta.
