Historical record of the Lunar Research Outpost
Summary
The organic crystal memory shards of the Lunar Research Station hold a record of launch preparations and dates related to a series of Ornish scientific initiatives known as the Mjolnir Missions.
These missions involved the recovery (and rediscovery) of Precursor rocket technology and were undertaken for a variety of purposes ranging from diaspora colonization to the investigation of esoteric cosmic signals.
Inspired by knowledge of a sophisticated US military satellite known as the Mjolnir Platform, the Ornish Apparatikus Clerics sought to escape the bounds of terrestrial gravity and seize control of the hammer of the gods. Along the way they discovered advanced scientific knowledge that would eventually help save the human race from extinction, but in so doing they unwittingly unleashed bizarre extra-planar forces that ultimately extinguished the bright flame of their own short-lived post-apocalyptic civilization.
The Mission Logs were discovered by Everest Bell on February 19th, 999 PCE when he and his companions gained access to the lunar launch silo and successfully accessed its dormant archive and control systems.
