The Sylvan Court
Sylvan fae are well known for their traditional serenity and harmonious centres, which come through as a deep connection with nature and springtime.
They have great numbers within The Seelie Court, and are the least wavering in their alliances toward the Major Courts. They consider themselves mortal enemies against any of the Unseelie.
Culture
Culture and cultural heritage
Sylvan culture is based almost entirely around nature; harmonising with it and living within and around it.
Shared customary codes and values
The major shared ideal of the Sylvan is the ideal of Harmony. While this can make the Court sound like a peace filled group, it is often rife with those who seek personal harmony over group harmony, and they can often be wary of outsiders.
Common Etiquette rules
Etiquette amongst the Sylvan could be considered akin to Human high society etiquette, with many rules regarding what is and isn't done. More noble fae of the Sylvan will stand fast for these rules, and as they tend to be the more outward speakers of the Sylvan, the Court has gained a rather "snooty" reputation.
Common Taboos
It's very often taboo to cause undue death to nature within a Sylvan held area. However, death of fellow fae "within reason" can be easily overlooked. The Sylvan Court is not a place to be for those not willing to harmonise with the world around them.
Ranks within the Sylvan are often steadfast, with virtually no change to a persons status unless the event to change it is major. A lower class fae can almost never ascend to a noble rank within the Sylvan, unless "proven" to be of great worth.
